Drift is built by Natural Tech. We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. This policy explains what data Drift collects, why, and how it's used.

Data we collect

Analytics

Drift collects basic, anonymized analytics to help us understand how the app is used and where we can improve it. This includes things like which features are popular and general usage patterns. Analytics data is never used for advertising, tracking, or sold to third parties.

Ocean and weather data

Drift makes network requests to public data sources provided by NOAA to fetch swell data, tidal predictions, wind speed, weather conditions, and water temperature from coastal buoys. These requests do not contain any personal information.

Data we do not collect

• No personal information (name, email, phone number)
• No location data from your device
• No contacts, photos, or files
• No advertising identifiers

No account required

Drift does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use the app.

Third-party services

Drift does not integrate with any advertising networks or data brokers. The only external services used are NOAA's public buoy data APIs and our analytics provider, which processes anonymized data only.

Children's privacy

Drift does not knowingly collect any data from children. The app does not require an account or any personal information from any user, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
